Allison Rogers

Social worker

Allison holds a Masters in Social Work from The University of New England, as well as graduated with a bachelors degree in Psychology and English from UVM. Allison’s clinical experiences include working with adolescents and adults as a college counselor at the University of Southern Maine, as well as working with parents to support their children through a multi-systemic lens.

Allison specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and solution focused therapy. She is experienced in working with patients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD and eating disorders. As well as therapy, Allison enjoys teaching restorative yoga as well as trauma-focused yoga.

Allison believes that psycho-education around a person’s background, can open many doors in exploring why we feel and act in certain behaviors. She believes that CBT is a wonderful way to change anxious thoughts/habits/behaviors by looking at the core beliefs one has about themselves and how we can modify them, together.

Allison’s family resides in Long Island, NY, but her heart is in Burlington, VT after attending college here, and graduating in 2015. In her free time, Allison loves to read, watch horror films, go to concerts, cook spicy food of all cuisines, and connect with friends.
