The Sensitive One

January 4, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

$135

Six-week series: Monday evenings from January 4th – February 8th 5:00-6:30pm

presented by: Kate Stefans

In this six-week series, we will deep dive into the far-reaching tentacles of life as a sensitive.  This is for all those who feel deeply – the highly sensitive, intuitives, and empaths among us who are using addiction to cope with all that they sense and feel.  It’s just as much for those who are facing substance abuse (anything from food to alcohol) as it is for those with a lesser known addiction to thought.  Bringing a platform of awareness to the sensitive disposition allows our highly responsive nervous systems to soften for maybe the first time ever.  This is where the fun starts to happen and life, well, it gets way easier and more enjoyable.  Trust me.

Each class will be centered around open discussions from a range of topics (including): nutrition for the sensitive body, auto-immune illness + resistance, over-arousal, self-doubt, anxiety + depression, difference between sensation and emotion, boundaries + anger, co-dependency, intimacy and trust). And anything else that is coming up for the group as a whole…?

There will be space for participants to share individual needs as well as 1:1 coaching within the group setting.  My aim is for this group to be interactive and relative to each one of us.  I want it to feel just as educational as it does nourishing.

As a result of this group series, it is my intention that participants will:

  • Feel an overall sense of lightness in their systems – less ‘trying to make life work’ and a greater degree of ‘letting it be easy’
  • Have a better handle on what their SPECIFIC needs are and how to meet them (sans coping, grasping + addictions)
  • Take away an enhanced sense of embodiment and awareness of internal sensations
  • Leave with a solid tool set to use when out in the world and faced with heavy emotion, cravings or despondency
  • Feel a sense of love for their kick-ass sensitive superpowers (because they are amazing!)

About Kate:

“As a highly sensitive person, I understand how easy it is to get completely lost in the depth of all that we feel. I get how remarkably simple it is to fall into addictions to cope with this depth. Having known numb really well, I empathize with living partly between the worlds of the living and the dead. But most of all, I wholeheartedly grasp what sensitive souls are capable of when they are not struggling with addiction to food, thoughts, and control. Knowing this, I have no choice but to guide them to a place of healing; a place of perceiving the vastness of all they are so that they may contribute to the world with their incredible complexity. The world needs this.” –Kate
